Physical Therapy
Our physical therapy programs focus on meaningful activity and measurable outcomes. They are designed to increase functional independence and improve the quality of life of each resident we treat. In a long-term care setting, regular physical therapy can help keep residents active and healthy by increasing balance and preventing falls. Our professional physical therapy team tailors each plan to optimize health of each individual in our care.
Some of the things physical therapy may address include, but are not limited to:
- Skills assessment/evaluation and treatment
- Gait (walking) training and functional mobility
- Fall prevention and risk assessment
- Transfer training
- Pain management
- Balance training
- Strength and endurance training
- Orthotic needs
- Equipment recommendations and/or training
- Family and caregiver education and guidance
- Return to home planning
- Other issues as identified by a physician
